The call center received a call from a cabinet supplier of ours; they wished to add a two story addition and do some indoor remodeling. After meeting and talking with the home owner, Bob discovered that he worked with a couple of design build firms and was very frustrated. Being an engineer, he needed to work through things and understand them. During our conversation he found out that his biggest problem was that they were not listening to what he wanted and needed. Unfortunately, we hear that a lot in this business.
After the meeting and getting through his actions list and discussing what him and his wife were looking for they seemed much more excited and confident about their project. His words – “This is the company, I want to work with”. Bob loves working with engineers, because their minds work well together and they can always think of the best way to do things. We completed the addition and still enjoy talking or meeting for lunch and discussing engineering problems and coming up with solutions. The problem was a very simple fix, but sometimes in the industry it is hard to get businesses to just listen to their customer and hear them out. We were ecstatic to be able to work with them and help them build their dream home, their way. Next project he wants a garage addition, to add to his workshop. Just needs to convince his wife.
